Yes I do. It's 6°C outside in Berlin, exactly the same temperature as in my staircase. But I liked the idea of using it as a setting for the pictures. We'll see how good the idea of standing there in a t-shirt turns out within the next few days... cold or no cold, that is the question.
I made the skirt and the shirt last friday, but this is just a teaser. The tutorials for each of them will be up on this blog within the next two days.
But let me tell you about the story behind this outfit.
I rarely go clubbing these days. Dancing is fun and partying can be fun but I already have some hard partying days behind me and don't feel like doing it that often anymore. But I had a clubbing date last saturday. Friends from school came to Berlin, a reunion of my old clique and they planed to go to a club in the evening. Of cause I didn't have an appropriate outfit in my closett...I probably had but it FELT like I had none. Therefore I decided to wip up this combo. I wanted to feel comfortable but still a little bit fancier than my day-to-day-outfits. Therefore I chose to wear heels and a skirt was the first choice to accompany them. But I also wanted something basic that wouldn't overpower the shirt but it still needed something special, therefore the scallop-hem. And the shirt just has this pretty lace-and-vintage-button detail. As you will see in the tutorial-post, the lace even sparkles a bit itself.
I hope I sparked your interest. Stay tuned.

What a lovely outfit - really pretty and it suits you marvellously. The skirt's scallop hem is marvellous, and I can't wait to find out how it was made. I hope you have warmed up now!
ReplyDeleteYes, I have indeed. Thank you for your lovely comment, it put a smile on my face. The tutorial will be up tomorrow.
